What are you doing here?

So often in life, we find ourselves somewhere physically, spiritually, or emotionally and think that we are where we are supposed to be.

We feel justified of our decisions based on following our own understanding.

Elijah found himself, as recorded in 1 Kings 19, under a broom tree fearing for and despairing of his life because of a threat from Jezebel.

Alot can be said about this interaction.

I want to focus on Yah's question to Elijah and his answer.

Yah asked him what was he doing there?

Elijah responded that he was very zealous although the rest of the people left Yah, killed his prophets, and sought to kill him.

His respond was prideful.

Yah asked him twice to which Elijah responded with the same answer.

Yah replied telling Elijah a work to do and letting him know that He has many people who have not forsaken him.

Yah ignored Elijah's pity party and told him to get up, get to work, and stop being prideful.

Many of us find ourselves in the same position.

I pray you don't answer in pride & despair but honestly reflect on where you are!

Remember to listen out for the still small voice of Yah.

Something to consider.

Be Lawful!
