In listening to one of these children’s shows, they were proclaiming that you should,
“Love yourself for who you are.” I get it, we should embrace the best things about ourselves and capitalize off of them. But does that message teach a false narrative that no change is needed?
In a worldly sense, the answer would be that no changes need to be made and essentially people need to love you and just accept you for who you are.
How wicked is that? If we accepted people for who they are we’d have no jails or consequences at any time. It is indeed a fact that this world is hot and cold when it comes to what is accepted and what is not. That is why we must always refer to the word of Yah.
Romans 12:2
“Don't be conformed to this world: but be transformed by renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Yah.”
Isaiah 43:19
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
The world is setting you up for failure with the narrative that you are perfect just the way you are; change is needed!
The change that we are required to seek is the one governed by our father, the true lover of our soul. He is the one who knows exactly what we need.
No prescription, pill, counselor, or psychologist can advise like the one who made you!
Psalm 139:14
“I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.”
The intention that Yah has set forth is for the glory to be given to him.
Anything else is vanity, and we as a people need to repent.
The only peace we will ever see will be when we seek HIS perfection and understand that his ways are righteous.
Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in Yah with all of your heart; and don't lean/trust unto your own understanding.
Acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He shall direct your paths.
Don't be wise in thine own eyes: fear Yah and depart from evil.
Every day is a new day to repent and seek change.
It is indeed needed!
Praise Yah!
